Development
This project presented unique design challenges, as the client requested that the blade light up with a ‘faceted glass’ effect. To achieve this, the entire blade had to be made from translucent materials, meaning that any seams and internal support structures could be visible when the LEDs were lit.

To create the ‘faceted glass’ effect, I modeled the blade with both internal and external angular sections. This design aimed to catch both external and internal lighting, enhancing the faceted appearance.

For the seams, I decided to integrate them into the faceted design. By aligning the seams with the angled sections of the blade, they became less noticeable and blended seamlessly into the overall look. The client was incredibly pleased with the final result, which met their specifications perfectly.
